The Tsubasa possess a unique hidden ability that allows them to further refine the element of earth into a malleable substance with a dull light grey color. This substance has been dubbed as Clay or Nendo. Most known Doton Techniques are capable of being refined into Nendo Techniques.

||| SLENDER |||
All Tsubasa are known for their inability to gain body mass. Due to a strange make up in their chromosomes, they are incapable of building any visible body mass be that fat or muscle. This doesn't mean that they are incapable of gaining strength or weight, however.

||| APPEARANCE |||
Tsubasa are extremely easy to tell apart from a crowd because due to a strange mutation in their chromosome make up all of them appear to have snow white hair and glimmering ruby eyes. An instance of a Tsubasa not having one of these two attributes is extremely rare, but not unheard of.

History:

The first known appearance of the Tsubasa Clan dates back to the Second Era. The Tsubasa, never choosing sides in the war between the brothers, chose to flee from their home in the plains and forests to retreat to the harsh mountains of what is to become the Land of Earth. Around 18 SA it is discovered by Clan Leader Tsubasa Sora that his daughter is capable of further refining the earthen techniques that had once been taught to their people by the great Rikudou into something new. This new discovery allows the clan to remain roughly neutral in all disputes through out the expanse of the Second Age.

When the Third Age began the Tsubasa clan were at first extremely sceptical of the forming shinobi villages. However, life in the mountains was hard even for this highly economical clan. They could not risk sending caravans into the wilderness any longer, and by the time Iwagakure celebrated its third birthday in 6 TA, the Tsubasa clan decided to join the ranks of the Earthen Village. In 8 TA, Tsubasa Sora died of old age where his first born son Tsubasa Tomohiko then becomes the leader of the clan.

In 24 TA Tomohiko goes missing in action during the war with Suna and Konoha. His only son Tsubasa Chinatsu becomes leader of the clan at a decently young age. Ever since Chinatsu has become leader of the clan, the Tsubasa have not suffered nearly as many hardships and despite originally being ostracized in the village for their odd appearances, the village comes to accept the clan as one of their own by 1 FOA.

To this day the Tsubasa clan continues to reside within Iwagakure no Sato, fearing that if they were to separate from the village much catastrophe would befall them. However, many of the clan members have begun to show questionable loyalty.
