REASON FOR POSITION:

In a time of panic and confusion, he took to action. He fought valiantly against the forces that would dare do harm to the people of villages leaves, sand, and stone. However, he would fail to protect that which many of the villages considered most dear. He would not be able to help the Kage as two of them, Shadow of Fire and Earth, vanished from the people's hearts.

It was he that so over come with the feeling of intense grief and anger over the loss that he made a promise, a vow if you will, to one day create an organization between their three strong countries. An organization that would hunt down those that dare threaten their very existence, and snuff them out. It was he, who on that day inspired many to join his cause, in Leaf and Stone.

It was for this cause that he was in the end chosen to be the Third Shadow of Earth. It is he who became Tsuchikage.

POLITICAL STANDPOINT:

Chinatsu is in all respect, a good hearted person. He despised any and all corruption and would go to great lengths to snuff out any and all terror to the world. Or so it would seem on the surface. In reality Chinatsu, a man who became leader of his clan as a young child due to his father having been slain on the field of battle during war, honestly couldn't care less about the world outside of his own village. If some village of another leader's became corrupt, Chinatsu would not think twice, however, about wiping them off of the map.

Chinatsu is the sort of man that would not hesitate to destroy all of his enemies, and as such within his own village, constantly attempts to find ways to inspire his current and future shinobi to continually better themselves so that they can utterly destroy anyone that would dare to oppose them. However this doesn't mean that he is at all cruel towards his own people, in fact quite the opposite.

On the surface, Chinatsu appears as a kind loving Kage that would do anything for his people. If he's not busy with paper work, or any other Kagely duties he is the sort of man that can be found at the academy helping teach or tutor the future generations of shinobi. Of course that doesn't mean that he is at all a push-over. Whenever given the chance, Chinatsu is more than happy to remind everyone exactly why and how he became Kage, whether that is through a stern lecture or a literal show of force. Of course his preferred way of showing force would be through decimating an army of enemy shinobi, he has yet to have been given this opportunity.

When it comes to economy, Chinatsu is a firm believer that money can and will equal power. As such he tries to finely tune his financial budget towards programs he believes will only be beneficial to his village. As such, he will most often budget his village's money to be spent towards funding the shinobi academy and various other organizations that will benefit Iwagakure's future existence.

As such, when it comes to other villages, minor or major, Chinatsu likes to attempt to maintain open communications, perhaps through trade or even joint missions. This not only allows the economy of his own village to continue to grow, but it also helps keep him better informed about the current events in other countries and villages.

APPEARANCE:

Standing at five feet and eleven inches and weighing around one-hundred and fifteen pounds, Chinatsu is what one might call, a not so buff man. It is quite obvious that the man doesn't go out of his way to make his body physically fit. In fact its so apparent that there is next to no visible muscle on the man's body except for a slight definition in his pectorals and hamstrings. Chinatsu also supports one of those builds that gives him longer and thinner fingers.

Chinatsu's skin is all but blemish free. Its pale and rather soft until one sees the large gash scar across his back that is possibly from some sort of old battle injury. This scar reaches from the lower right side of his back to his left shoulder, and spreads about four inches at its widest point around where it hovers over his spine. Another flaw in Chinatsu's body would be that he only has a single crimson orb having lost the other one some time ago.

Chinatsu's silvery tresses are usually kept so as to display a sort of messy yet tame attitude. They stop just sort of his shoulders with his bangs swept to the left side of his face. His hair is considerably wavy in some areas as well even forming two bumps in his tresses around the upper left and right of his head.

As for his clothing, Chinatsu typically wears mesh armor as his very basic layer of clothing. This consists of a long sleeved shirt and long leggings that reach his wrists and ankles. Over this he wears a black skin tight, in the torso area but looser down below, jump suit with a turtle neck design that stretches about midway up his neck, the leggings of the jumpsuit reach down to about mid shin. Over this he wears a stone grey flak jacket with red shoulder pads over top of a dark red sleeveless trench coat. For footwear he wears shinobi edition combat boots with his toes, but not heels, exposed.

HISTORY:

Tomohiko Tsubasa, leader of the Tsubasa Clan, once fell in love with a beautiful woman with pale skin and long, silken, ebony hair. She was much more beautiful in the eyes of the Tsubasa than any gem in the whole wide world. She was so beautiful that the man fought tooth and nail in order to gain her attention, eventually her hand in marriage, and before long her company in bed. It would be two years after their initial marriage, but eventually Tomohiko would even make a mother out of the woman when on January 22 of the Third Age a son would be born to the two. This son would be named Chinatsu and he would one day lead his clan to equality in his village, and their village to a time of innovation.

In his younger years, Chinatsu was quite the bundle of energy. So much so that his mother often had difficulty keeping up with him despite her being a kunoichi herself. One time she was even forced to enlist the help of her sister as well as her brother-in-law in order to find the boy when he decided to play hide-and-seek in the village's training grounds.

All of this energy that the young Chinatsu had didn't always go to waste, however. As the boy grew up he was often around people that claimed to call themselves shinobi. This in turn inspired that boy at the very young age of four to become a shinobi himself one day. Not so much to be able to help his village or anything of that sort, but mainly because he thought that the stuff a shinobi could do was really cool. So at the young age of four Chinatsu began to put all of his energy into learning the various ninja arts one would need to know not only at the academy level, but the basics of the jutsu that only those of his own clan possessed. This in turn resulted in the boy's enrollment in the shinobi academy of iwagakure one year later at the age of five.

When Chinatsu entered the shinobi academy he was already about two years ahead of the beginner class when it came to knowing the basic material. As such at the age of five he was placed in the third year class where the shinobi skills that they were supposed to have been taught in second and first year were finally beginning to be put to practical use. It was in the third year class the Chinatsu would begin to learn the various different applications of various different techniques. Things such as shurikenjutsu and taijutsu were often drilled into the young boy's mind but never put to use for him because of his physically inept body. As such Chinatsu was often forced to watch from the side lines while the other, bigger kids were allowed to actually practice their aim with shuriken and kunai. This was mainly because Chinatsu's smaller body was not yet able to produce the strength to throw a kunai far enough to hit his target.

However, this didn't mean that Chinatsu would fall behind in his class, quite the opposite actually. He was easily able to grasp the concept of a proper stance for throwing kunai and shuriken or even on how to off set the balance of an opponent bigger than you. As a result, some of the older more timid kids would often come to Chinatsu for advice on these subjects, and while his vocabulary was still quite limited at the time, the young boy was more than happy to assist the others in achieving their goals, no matter how minor they might of been.

However, no matter how well Chinatsu grasped the subject himself and was able to help the older kids, he himself wasn't able to actually show off his knowledge until about three years later when his body, despite all of the physical conditioning he did outside of school, was finally able to produce the strength necessary to make the kunai or shuriken reach its destination. When Chinatsu was finally able to hit that mark at long last in his third year at the academy, he was much more than thrilled to say the least. He was ecstatic. After that point the young boy began to put 110% effort into everything he did in order to continue bettering himself and become the most exceptional shinobi he could be. However, until he was the age of nine, he never really had a real reason for actually becoming a shinobi other than wanting to look cool like all of the adults.

This all changed the day Chinatsu happened upon a horrible scene in the training grounds just outside of the village. One of his classmates, while being a bit heavier set, was being harassed by a group of older kids. These kids were perhaps Chinatsu's seniors by four years, and already genin, but that didn't stop the nine year old from running it. He did it very stealthily at first too. He knocked out the guy closest to him with a swift kick to the back of the neck, then immediately upon landing on the ground again delivered a swift knee to the next kid's groin. From there he had definitely been noticed and everyone jumped at him. However Chinatsu kept his own wits about him, bobbed, weaved, and managed to take only a few blows from the older kids before badly hurting their ring leader. When the bullies all fled Chinatsu, with a few minor injuries, looked to the other boy whom had still been cowering in fear. He almost immediately saw that the boy had been hurt more than just physically and it was at that moment that he decided when he needed to do. He was going to become a great and powerful shinobi so no one else would ever have to go through something as terrifying as what that one boy had just endured.

Thus his dream to become Iwagakure's most compassionate yet powerful Kage was born.


He Who Dreams to be Kage

Two years would pass before Chinatsu would finally graduate from the academy at the age of eleven. Just like every other genin that graduated that same year, he was placed on a three man cell with two other genin, one male, one female, under the tutelage of a powerful and wise jounin. However, Chinatsu's year as a genin was anything but perfect. His teammates often squabbled over menial things and slowly Chinatsu began to lose any hope for their team to ever be anything other than genin. However, this didn't stop the boy from training as hard as he could in order to be the best shinobi he could possibly be, in fact it only seemed to make him want to work harder to set himself apart from the other two whom constantly bickered.

However, Chinatsu's dreams would be put on hold the year he turned twelve. War had broken out between the great nations the year before. Konoha and Suna began to assault Iwa and Kumo. Many of the more powerful jounin and chuunin were called to the battle front to push back their forces. Two of these very shinobi were Chinatsu's father Tomohiko Tsubasa and his jounin sensai. Neither were to return.

from Genin to Clan Leader

It all happened so fast. The news reached the village that his father had fallen in battle and his mother completely broke down. Then, he was taken away from his training by the elders. He was taken away from everything he had come to love and forced into an all new way of life. Before too long Chinatsu was made the rightful leader of his clan, and torn away from anything to do with the shinobi in order to learn the principals behind being clan leader. Most of the things he was forced to learn were things the boy already knew, but they force fed it to him anyway. Chinatsu would eventually be grateful for one thing they taught him, however, and that would be that they finally allowed the boy to learn the ancient hiden arts of their clan.

Chinatsu spent a great amount of time devoting himself to learning these various arts that he knew would one day help him in becoming Kage and in leading his village to a new era. In fact he had nearly learned just about every art he could by the time he was fifteen. It was at this time that Chinatsu also decided he finally had had enough of the elders. He rebelled against them, pushed them away, and ultimately managed to prove that he was ready to be clan leader. His fellow clansmen followed their young leader, and Chinatsu selected an adviser among them he knew he could trust. His uncle, his father's brother, Tsubasa Tsukuhiko.

With Tsukuhiko's assistance, Chinatsu was able to both manage the clan and continue his life as a shinobi. Before too long he was even able to at last partake in the chuunin exams with his old team. However, only he would proceed onward and become chuunin.

Clan Leader made Chuunin

Chinatsu's years as a Chuunin were much more worth while than any of his years as a shinobi prior. Now with a bit more freedom, he was finally able to fill much of his schedule with missions and training. Of course he would give himself days off every now and then from this routine in order to do business for the clan or attend meetings with the other clan leaders, but on most days he had his uncle to help him with that work. Chinatsu would continue this work, steadily improving until his nineteenth year when, not only would they lose the war, but Chinatsu would create the technique that would change his life forever.

the Promotion to Jounin

He had spent many years honing his ability with the element known as Katon. Under the guidance of his adviser and uncle Tsukuhiko, Chinatsu would train during every waking moment that he had free in order to become stronger, and by his nineteenth year, all of his work had finally paid off.

It was one of those rare moments that he would receive a visit from the Tsuchikage himself. Chinatsu was finally testing out his new jutsu in a wide area when the Tsuchikage happened to approach silently from behind. His uncle, who knew better, was standing several feet back and caught the Tsuchikage before he dared to get too close as Chinatsu let loose the technique that would, after that day, become verified as the first S-ranking Katon Jutsu that Iwa would ever see. Chinatsu soon passed out after using it however due to exhaustion.

Upon waking up several days later, Chinatsu would not go without praise. He soon received a letter from a Chuunin addressed to him from the Tsuchikage himself. It was a letter prompting the young chuunin to take part in the selective jounin exams that were to be held at a special location the very next week. Seeing this as an opportunity to show everyone what he was capable of, Chinatsu jumped at the chance and promptly went to go confirm with the Tsuchikage.

As a result, the next week Chinatsu not only took the Jounin exams, but managed to pass within a small margin of failing. It soon became very evident to the young jounin that even though he was capable of using great and powerful jutsu, he had a long ways to go in terms of leadership skills. As such he devoted himself to teaching young academy students despite that commonly being the job of a chuunin, and after the passage of two years, finally decided that he would lead a team of genin.

So at the age of twenty one in the year of two forth age, Chinatsu would finally come to lead a team of three genin fresh out of the academy. The were a bunch of young-ins, having graduated a year early due to having exceptional skill and retention. Chinatsu, at first, took it slow in teaching the three genin, first learning himself how they best retained new information and how they would act together as a team. Due to this slow at first approach Chinatsu was able to have them soon taking on more and more difficult missions and by the end of their first year together his team was finally permitted to go on C-rank missions.

Chinatsu continued on with his team like this for three years, making sure to take the time he believed they might need to develop and hone all of their skills that they would need as Chuunin, and at the time when word of an Alliance with Konohagakure had been achieved reached the Tsubasa Clan leader, Chinatsu was more than thrilled. Especially when the joint chuunin exams arrived. Chinatsu jumped at the opportunity to enroll his genin, believing at long last their time to spread their wings and take flight had come. His genin agreed.

So in 5 FOA, when Chinatsu was twenty-four years of age, he journeyed with his genin team and a few other teams from Iwa to Konoha where the new joint Chuunin Exams between, Iwa, Konoha, and Suna were to take place. Once there he did his best to over see that the exams went through smoothly. However, everything seemed to be for naught when during the final part of the exams a group of rogues attacked. Chinatsu along with many others, fought valiantly against the group, however were unable to prevent the death of Sandaime Hokage Senju Junichi or the disappearance of Nidaime Tsuchikage Okuma Ichirou. Chinatsu especially, since when he witnessed the Hokage's death, he pursued after the attackers allowing the Hokage's men to care for their leader. Chinatsu chased the group far into the forest where he finally let loose his most powerful attack, Phantom of the Apocalypse. However he would be unable to confirm whether the men responsible for the Kage(s) death(s) due to the fire that would ensue in the surrounding area.

When Chinatsu would finally return to the site of the great battle between the Hokage and the rogue(s), he appeared with solemn grace, and apologized. He did not know the fate of the perpetrators. It was then that he vowed to not allow the sacrifice of the two kage to go in vain. He would work towards building an organization between Konoha and Suna that would seek out and eliminate all threats to the great nations.

As a result of the actions he took during the chuunin exams as well as the support of all those he affected that day in konoha and iwa, Chinatsu was soon made to be the Sandaime Tsuchikage after he returned to the village.

Step One Achieved, on to Phase Two

Since he became Kage fourteen years ago, Chinatsu has strived to make better connections with Konoha and Kumo as well as Konoha's ally Sunagakure. He has begun to work towards building an organization of elites that would be able to work towards the elimination of all rogue shinobi plus any other possible questionable persons. In these recent fourteen years, Chinatsu has also come into contract with Fushirisou, and befriended a special creature of the very same contract which he tends to use as his go-to summon.

Now in the nineteenth year of the forth age, Chinatsu, at the age of thirty-eight, is still striving towards making finalizations in the arrangement of the organization between several of the great nations that will be solely responsible for eliminating nukenin. Not only this, but he has also be searching for new ways to further better Iwagakure itself.
