REASON FOR POSITION:

Experience - After the retirement of Yasuhiro it was decided that not only did Sunagakure need a replacement who was powerful, but one that also had the necessary experience to deal with the ups and downs that come with a life of politics. While Yudanai may not have been the unanimous first decision, his time at the side of the Nidaime gave him invaluable knowledge that simply could not be wasted.

Progressive Attitude - Though this is a time of peace that does not mean villages are standing idly by waiting for the next threat to arise. No, they are training, preparing to lead the forefront into the new era. Yudanai also shares this ambition and has plans to push Suna into a new age of enlightenment.

POLITICAL STANDPOINT:

War mongering would be an incorrect term to label Yudanai as, though for all intents and purposes the man highly favors conflict. He relishes battle as an opportunity to begin time anew and bring about necessary change. The times he will sit idly by while conflict is on the horizon are few and far in between, mostly because Yudanai is the one starting them, but that doesn't mean the man simply throws his forces into the wind. When he hits, he hits hard but not without careful planning.
