You should fold now, because the decks always in my favor! Tags ::: /Kaeda words 529 Short notes | Fumiko wasn't the most loved or adored shinobi, but she'd gained the appreciation, trust and love from everyone in her family. There was not a single Uchiha she hadn't found able to get along. It was one of the few redeeming facts about when she'd taken spot as ANBU Captain, as it made the proud Uchiha feel as though they held a stronghold on the Konoha's security. The clan was a powerful one and had an image to maintain, it was something Fumiko was quite capable of performing. It was either in her stature of glory or due to her ability to get along with even the outcasted Uchiha, but Kaeda Fumiko's niece had asked Fumiko for training. Fumiko needing to keep her family close was quick to agree and gave Kaeda a time to meet at the training grounds. It had already been that time a few minutes passed, but Fumiko was patient about waiting, she'd only gotten there a few minutes early. Besides the later that girl was the less time Fumiko would have to train her, it was in the ANBU Captain's mind a situation only Kaeda had to lose. The red eyed shinobi really only worried about her loses, as she'd taken the ideals of gambling quite seriously throughout her life. Fumiko knew any time she lost she could easily recover with a few good bets, besides she'd caught up with her ANBU so she had some 'free' time. It probably should of been spent on Sasuke, but too much love could smoother a boy right? Fumiko spent her waiting time doing as she'd always done in moments of boredom, she'd begun to anxiously shuffle her decks together. Once they'd been properly blurred together, she'd go about shuffling them into their original decks, she'd then go about shuffling the decks into descending order Ace to the two of cards. She didn't look at the front of the cards, she'd merely count the cards in the deck and pull one card to check and see it was the right suit. Fumiko never found herself wrong when guessing the card, but it was a trick she'd studied and done over one too many times. Her attention was hardly even on the cards as they blurred between her hands, and the process would repeat, as she'd mastered the shuffle down to a simple two minute ordeal. The day was awfully nice a little damp out since it'd rained somewhat recently, but the clouds had passed and a good amount of sunlight beamed down upon the land. It was midday after all and everything seemed so alive and cheerful, it wasn't Fumiko's ideal scenery though, so she pegged the day as mundanely common. The animals made themselves scarcely noticed, as they'd learned their lives were typically in danger around Fumiko. A mouse who'd known nothing about the ANBU Captain, tried shooting across one patch of grass to another, it was the first real movement made around Fumiko. The mouses movements as well as life ended quickly, a card pegging it's head clear off it's own body. She'd worry about recovering the card later, as she'd go back to shuffling. |
