Summoning is the concept of calling forth an object or animal from another location to your location in 0.K speed, otherwise known as instantaneous. There are several laws explained in this thread, the most important two are: "Summoning an object with chakra," & "Summoning an object without chakra."
To begin, the main difference is consumption, and how chakra is consumed to bring forth these two existences. Summoning an object with chakra is dictated by overall strength of said summoning. As such, if a small summon can tussle and destroy a large summon due to its capability, it'll consume more chakra. This is also dictated by its abilities, ranks, and species. However, with objects without chakra, the consumption is dictated by its size, and completely disregards its innate capabilities entirely. These are the two laws of Summoning Consumption, and as such, should be known to any individual who were in the Academy.
Subjected By: All Summons with Chakra.
Price/Limitation: Every living summon has a price or limitation upon its summon. Sometimes it can be unavailability on certain days, or a "once per month" limit, or the most common which is a limited amount of time it can stay in the location it was summoned before forcefully being reset. The price can vary to giving a more hefty portion of their chakra, or feed them human bodies, or even losing a limb in return for summoning. This is a law inscribed on all summons, and it is the reason it is called a contract. The shinobi signs a contract with the species or summon to perform a certain act or follow by a certain rule in-turn allowing said shinobi to utilize their skills if required. Due to this, contracts being signed are rare to be made, even amongst shinobi. There are many violent creatures who want self-sacrifice or other gruesome desires that many could not complete. As such, many contracts that have vicious creatures will require a drastic price.
There are always two prices / limitations. One for the general species whenever utilized, which can vary, and the other to the specific summon. One can avoid making a contract with the species if they make a person contract with a specific summon only. This is how personal summons, such as Monkey King Enma became a personal summon. However, personal summons usually have a more hefty price than the contract and their original stipulation combined. However, the limitation of being summoned on certain days or have days of unavailability and those alike are incapable of being a limit.

• 5.1ft → 8ft: Low Consumption.
• 8.1ft → 15ft: Medium Consumption.
• 15.1ft → 22ft: Large Consumption.
• 22.1ft → 30ft: Immense Consumption.
• 30.1ft → Infinite: Tremendous Consumption.[/ul]
Affinity Law
All Animals within a specific Species will have a singular type of elemental affinity. This affinity will most likely signify their race and not their specific use. An example would be a toad, their specific element will be water, regardless. That being said, it doesn't mean that they "use" this affinity. Much like a shinobi, one isn't required to learn their affinity, it is simply easier to do so. As such, animals can be as diverse as their class of race. However, we will not be having a water-breathing snake capable of using wind or fire, this will be dependent on the animals class within their species.
