The story of the Hyuuga begins like the story of the ninja world, in chaos. In the year known as 0 FA the Hyuuga much like any other clan, or person for that matter, was engaged in a frivolous and pointless war. However, to them and the others fighting this war was very serious business. No one really remembers what the war had started over, most likely land or a petty disagreement; this did not make it any less real for them. It would seem that their war would be sweep up into a bunch of other wars leading into a world full of conflict and strife. It was not until princess Kaguya ate the forbidden fruit that one side got the advantage over the other.Clan Surname:Hyuuga

Special Abilities:Byakugan (White Eye): The Byakugan is the Kekkei Genkai found in all members of the Hyuuga household at the time of their birth. This Dojutsu has the appearance of an all white eye (hence the name) with seemingly no pupil. When active the pupils become more distinct the veins around the eye become more prominent due to the blood vessels there pulsating presumably from either stress or chakra enhancement. The abilities of the Byakugan are as follows though the extent to which a clan member can use them is based on their own individual skill:
- Nearly 360 degree field of vision withing a 50m radius (the distance can be improved with training and the blind spot is in back of the neck above the first thoracic vertebra.)
- Telescopic and X-ray Vision able to see through most barriers smoke mist and fog as well as discern between corporeal bodies and clones and ninja using the transformation jutsu.
- The ability to see chakra which gives them their ability to notice when someone including themselves are trapped within a Genjutsu. As well as being able to see the color and flow of chakra. Lastly this also gives them the ability to see the chakra network system and to those proficient enough the tenketsu.
- It can also magnify objects and see in the infrared spectrum allowing the Byakugan to locate things using body heat.
History:
The princess’s son whom was born shortly afterward was born with tremendous power; enough to even put an end to the war from both sides creating a ceasefire and an end to the fighting. It was then that the Hyuuga clan first bisected, though at the time the division seemed small it was the small crack that would create a large fissure. A little less than half of the members of the clan did not wish to forgive and forget. However, they were overruled and the edict to peace passed and the Hyuuga family felt peace for the first time in a very long time thanks in major part to the Rikudo Senin.
By 62 FA all other clans that had been feuding and fighting had also stopped their various wars which in turn ended the larger war that the small wars had become, it was somewhere around this time that the Hyuuga clan first met the Rikudo Senin. When the Rikudo Senin set up schools across the nation one of those nations was the home of the Hyuuga clan. In teaching the Hyuuga clan how to utilize chakra they stumbled upon something that the sage called a bloodline limit, a dojutsu he dubbed the Byakugan which fit perfectly as all the members of the Hyuuga clan had the white eyes that had marked them a member of the Hyuuga clan to all those whom knew them; Which due to their fighting spirit and wealth were quite a few other clans. However, after cultivating and training with their Byakugan they became much more renowned. Though it was not until 69 FA that the clan begun tinkering with a way to use their new eyes and abilities to come up with a new way of fighting did the Hyuuga clan become more like they are today.
Though they have yet to separate into the main family branch family hierarchy yet, they decided that they would abandon the old ways of having a clan meeting where everyone got to voice their opinion and vote on issues, for the more time saving single clan leader with the last say on issues. They held a tournament for all in the clan to join, no matter age or sex, the favorite to win was Hizashi. He was not only a strong warrior for the clan but he was also quite wise and loving. Though there was someone just as talented as he was that could give him a run for his money, that boys name was Koh, and although he did have Hizashi’s martial abilities he did not share Hizashi’s tact or heart, he solved most of his problems with fighting and was brash and reckless. Unsurprisingly it came down to these two men and after a fight that lasted for about seven hours Koh lay defeated congratulating Hizashi on his victory.
In the years to come Hizashi respected the sages decision to name the younger brother as his heir because he felt as if he and the younger brother had a lot in common with each other, however, he noticed something that the younger sage did not which prompted him to take measures against it. Knowing full well that Koh may not be complacent being just another member of the clan after he got so close to being its leader Hizashi created a new position to appease him. This new position was that of High Elder which was a sort of advisory position akin to a vice president position making Koh the second most influential person in the clan while still giving Hizashi the right to overrule him. This is the way that the Hyuuga’s ushered in the new age, stronger and more glorious than ever thanks to their more united family and strong Kekkei Genkai and the Juken that Hizashi and Koh helped create using their martial talents, these things would all come in handy during the second as the elder sage was brewing up something that would cause trouble for everyone.
