Special Abilities:||| ANCIENT TRADITION |||History:
We of the Kiyomasa Clan have practice a tradition that has been passed down since ancient times. We hone our bodies along with our blades in order to be able to handle even some of the most peculiar of circumstances. We train from a very young age in order to, in a sense, become one with our blades which allows us to much more easily wield our weapon partners with deathly precision on the field of battle.
+1 to BukijutsuIt all began back during the times where war was frequent and her majesty Princess Kaguya had yet to taste the forbidden fruit. We were a people that relished the thought and feel of battle. We prided our selves on taking down our enemies and gaining new scars to tell of our greatest battles, and we often found distaste in falling in any manor other than in combat. We spent our time perfecting our abilities and challenging one another to duels outside of mortal combat, however, this also often led to rebellion within our clan. On more than on occasion.
Our first leader was a great and powerful man by the name of Kiyomasa Kenpachi. He was a stern leader and a fierce fighter. He led us to many victories on the field of battle, however, one day in the 39th year of the First Age, he was betrayed by his right hand man, Kiyomasa Fuetsu. This man took leadership of our people out from right under Kenpachi's feet and led us into an era of darkness. For twenty-five long years we lived under his tyranny, being forced to fight among our selves for food and privilege when before it was commonly shared. However one day in the 63 year of the First Age, a man stood up against our dark ruler, and using arts he had been taught by the great Rikudou, slew the man before our very eyes delivering us from our dark world.
Kiyomasa Mouko was the man that delivered us to our salvation. He took our people back down onto a path of freedom and prosperity. He helped us become the people we once were under the leadership under his lord Kenpachi, only even better. We became mercenaries at this time, and began to put our skills to better work for other peoples, so that we would not lose our tradition. However, as time passed and leadership passed from one individual to the next, a new war soon broke out between the sons of the Rikudou Sennin, and our skills were once again called to the battlefield. We were forced to take sides, and the divergence ended up causing a rift in our clan. A rift that very nearly destroyed us.
By the end of the war between the two brothers, very few of us remained, perhaps only about five. Eventually our remaining people were forced to band together with other peoples in order to survive, prosper, and more importantly, in order to spread our tradition. We once again became mercenaries, traveling across the lands, but now with so few of us remaining we were once again on the dawn of a dark era. That is, until some time in the Third Age a village was formed in the mist covered regions of the Watery Lands. We unanimously decided at that time that we no longer wished to risk certain death on the plains and thus went to appeal to the lord of the village to allow us to stay. We offered him our skills in battle and he seemed more than gracious to accept us.
At long last we found a place we could call home. We found a place where we could continue to practice our tradition, and where we could grow. We have been in this place, ever since.
