Kaminoinu - Divine Dog

Location:

The location of the contract can be found on the person of Kajou Shinji, a Jounin in Kumogakure no Sato. Whether as a large scroll strapped to his back, or condensed in a summoning seal on his body, where he goes it goes. 



The creatures themselves have claimed a territory in the South of Kaminari no Kuno, an expansive mountain range where it is said is the only place lightning can strike twice. The terrain is treacherous and wild, a place sane men stay out of as the dogs bear no respect for the borders or politics of most men. The base of these mountains are covered in a dense forest that makes it almost impossible for someone to even see the foot of these natural formations. It only makes sense then, that the Kaminoinu have claimed the peaks and higher places of these mountains as their dens.

Inhabitants: Dogs/ Wolves/ 

Towing the line between wild dogs and black wolves, the Kaminoinu are large canines that typically range in size from the smaller [which max out around 4 feet tall] to the much larger [8 feet while on all fours]. Amongst the packs there are dogs that exceed even these amazing sizes and rival the size of the larger summons in the world. These animals are known as elite pack hunters and ferocious predators; beasts that haven been known to overwhelm fully trained ninjas on their own. Principle characteristics of the Kaminoinu: in appearance these dogs are covered in shaggy fur that ranges in color from black to maroon, though every animal shares the same yellow eyes. They are born with an affinity for lightning chakra, and make for excellent conduits and amplifiers of techniques that utilize that nature. 



The contract was established between the Kajou and the Kaminoinu in decades past; it is one that is handed down to the next clan head upon his completion of the rites of passage. Following Shinji's promotion to the ranks of Chuunin, it was a contract he had to go and retrieve once more.
