Kurokei "So much fucking sand." He said, spitting out the sand that kept entering his mouth with each passing moment. Kaze no Kuni, to him, was nothing but a bed of sand that has continuous winds - utter pointlessness. The amount of futile ground in this barren wasteland of a desert would've been nigh nothing, and yet, not only does villages thrive, but the entire country. A spectacle that rivals the wonders of the world. At the very least, he didn't have to suffer the vast whirlwinds of sand alone. Not only are the inhabitants having to suffer, but another foreigner as him. At this moment, he was within a cave waiting for his companion to finish whatever he was doing. He didn't really ask about what he wanted to do, take a shit or piss, or even check out the bats. He rather liked being in the cave, it was safe from the sand that kept clouding his mouth in such a vulgar way, and highly persistent the sand was. Over the past few days, Eiji has been traveling with a fellow Nukenin, having met several times prior to this occasion, and with others and not themselves. However, it seemed this fellow had taken an interest in Eiji, and Eiji didn't mind company, as long as he could trust said company, and he wasn't exactly sure this company deserved his full blunt trust. "I wonder how they do it..." He asked himself silently, trying to keep his voice volume to a whisper engulfed in his own space. He questioned how puppeteers of the shinobi variety used puppets for shinobi battle. He heard that puppeteers have incredible Level of chakra control, and were generally long-range fighters. You would always be fighting their puppets, whilst they hid, attacking from the shadows with various tactics embedded into a puppet. He held himself in disbelief, and he want to see it for himself how a puppeteer operates. It was the only way to know for certain how they truly functioned, how they attacked, and how they killed. Eiji could not lie to himself - he really wanted to fight something that existed in mere rumors and unexplored territory. Much akin to that of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. Said to be capable of killing you without an ounce of sound. All you can feel after they've used their silent methods if you throat being sliced, and you attempting to scream, but nothing will come out. Highly precise slice through the throat to disconnect the voice box. Astonishing. However, only rumors. He wanted to see it for himself. He had nothing else to live for but the day, and the excitement it could hold - nothing more. Just thinking of that brought back memories of his past life, within the confides of the leaf village, and he could be near the two people he cherished above himself. One, who probably hates him with all her might, and the other who doesn't even know his true feelings for her. The latter taken by another man, and the former being a prodigal shinobi in her own right - of course due to her brother. He shook his head in disapproval of his thoughts, and tried to occupy it with less relevant and trivial thoughts. "What are you doing?" He asked, picking his nose nonchalantly. They were in a cave, and no one was here, so he didn't care. There weren't many opportunities where he could let loose and unleash his relaxed side. Whether it was due to the seemingly weak nature of the smart individual that laid in the darkness of the cave, or his acknowledgement of his own strength, mattered not as he felt relaxed and that what did matter. His mind once again begun to wonder about. He thought more about the rumors of a puppeteer, and the back story as to why it existed. They say, it was created by a man who wanted to bring back his son, but required a body, and not just any body, a body that retained the likeliness of his son. So he created a puppet. However, his son did not move and as he was made of wood, he bore no soul or life. He used strings to manipulate the boy, but the body moved abnormally, with no signs of life. In his desperate efforts to produce normal movements, created strings that were created from his life force. Thus, strings from chakra were created. The boy moved, but he could not talk or think. The man then gave up his soul for his son to live, and bringing his son back to life in the body of a puppet, he hated living without his father and being the way he was, and took his own life by throwing himself in a fire. The father had apprentices who believed in his attempt to create life through puppets, but would not give up their life to do so, instead, they created more human-like puppets and fought beside them. Albeit, one of many stories and nothing more, it was an intriguing story, and the one Eiji liked the most. He turned around to look inside the cave, waiting for the man to appear, "The story of the puppeteer and his son." He whispered once more, before relaxing alongside the walls of the cave. This could take quite a while. Skills/Abilities Used: |
