His voice drifted out on the breeze across the village as he sang a song as beautifully crimson as himself. Kutsujoku tekina yugamu asa fujun na koukai e He pressed his hands firmly against the ledge he sat on keeping them there as he kicked one leg up before letting it swing downwards while he kicked up the other. Back and forth he would swing his legs as he sang his lovely crimson song. Mukuwa renai koi naraba semete He knocked his head back slightly as he let his lyrics call out towards the heavens themselves. As he did this, he closed his lovely golden emerald orbs before the sun light began to glint off of his rosy red glasses. A breeze danced past him before long, commanding his crimson tresses to dance with it. So they did, and they danced ever so beautifully with the strong breeze behind his back. Ano yo de musuba retai nante On this particular day the ANBU chuunin had chosen to wear more civilian-esque clothing. He wasn't on duty, not until night fall anyway, so why not enjoy himself and dress comfortably. So he wore a dark maroon sleeveless form fitting body suit with a small turtle neck design to it. It stretched across his chest across his mid section and even down his legs about mid way down his thighs. Over this he wore a lovely rosy red sleeveless kosode with it worn in such a way as to appear slightly baggy yet drawn tight giving him a more feminine appearance than normal with the long tails of the kosode trailing down over his ebony hakama. The ebony hakama, held to his waist with a crimson chord, was drawn together just a little above his ankles providing a bit of a ballooning effect to the pants as he kicked his legs. Negai wo iku senmo If anyone was paying particular attention to him, they would likely notice that not only was the chuunin quite happy on this particular day at this particular hour, but he had gone bare foot, or at least appeared to have at the time. Hey when you had the chance to, why not, right? Several more lines of lyrics later, and the young Uzumaki male finally finished his song before letting his legs rest calmly against the side of the building. When this happened he lowered his head and began to look out across the village that peacefully went about its daily business on the streets below him. A smile stretched across the teen's face as he leaned his head a slight bit to the left while. "My my, Konoha. If I had to describe you in one sentence," he paused for a moment, "It would have to be. You're as beautiful as my own hair is red." He licked his lips momentarily, "Simply, astounding."

The day was sunny and surprisingly warm for autumn. She sat - or rather, hung upside down from - a tree, multicolored hair blowing in the breeze. She'd ditched the clan compound at some stupidly ridiculous hour that morning; if she'd had to suffer the wrath of the clan at large (more specifically, the elders) for the piercings she'd acquired a few days ago, the genin probably would have snapped on somebody. Man, it was such a pain in the ass being part of a clan that was so rigidly structured and uptight. Someone needed to tell the elders to get the damn Forest of Death out of their asses and stop being so ridiculous. The first clan member to see the piercing in her nose had about had a heart attack. So she figured they wouldn't much approve of the belly button piercing or the two holes she now had in each ear. Hey, she was old enough to make her own decisions, and if she wanted a bunch of piercings, who were they to tell her that she couldn't have them? It wasn't like they were ever going to like her, so she didn't care if she only succeeded in pissing them off more.

Eventually she got tired of hanging from the tree and watching people walk around, looking like they were the ones upside down. So she descended from the tree and headed into the village, intending to get something deliciously unhealthy for lunch, but of course she got distracted.

Whoever was singing had quite a nice voice, and Kaede was determined to figure out who it was. A fellow lover of good music would make better company than any of her stupid relatives would. Upon spotting the person due to their vivid red hair, the teen headed his or her direction - she couldn't really tell what gender the person was from her position. Upon approaching, however... Long hair, feminine features - well, it seemed pretty clear that she was chick, and a pretty hot one at that.

Never one to respect personal space all that well, the girl went to join her - and sat herself down right on the attractive redhead's lap. "Hey there, babe." Of course, as one might suspect, the Uchiha wasn't brilliant with pick up lines either. "Konoha's not the only beautiful thing I can see, ehe."

That smile was one that would never fade from his features. Not even once he was rather rudely interrupted from his day with a rather strange appearance from an even stranger girl. An Uchiha too if his memory served him correctly. The only reason he could even recognize her as Uchiha though, was because one of his most current posts had placed him in the Uchiha compound to keep an eye on the clan and make sure they were planning anything. Hell none of them had ever spotted him even with their doujutsu, so it was the perfect post for him. "Beauty is but in the eye of the beholder my dear." He didn't make any motions or indications of being uncomfortable when she out right sat her small ass down on his lap. "I have to say though, those eyes of your's are like lovely pink emeralds. So lovely and charming." He reached up with one hand before placing his fore finger and thumb on her chin, "My, you really are a marvelous wonder." He chuckled slightly before letting his hand fall back to his side and leaning back propping himself up with his arms, "So what is it that brings you out here today hun?" This was perhaps the most unorthodox meeting he had ever had with someone within the village, not to mention with an Uchiha. Sure, his first incident of any sort of good loving had been with an Uchiha about a year or so ago, but that was a male. To know that he could captivate the eyes of a woman still, that was interesting to say the least. Still the way she had confronted him. Was this woman perhaps not interested in him but rather in her? He was more like a woman than a man anyways, but that didn't mean people could out right mistake him so easily, did it? Then again looking at the clothes he wore that day, perhaps it was rather easy to be mistaken.

Kaede was a little surprised that she so calmly accepted an outright stranger sitting on her lap, which only made her grin grow wider. Even though she didn't really know anything about this woman other than the fact that she was hot and had a nice voice, the girl was already starting to like her. Maybe she'd found someone she could actually tolerate - what a shock that would be. And hey, it had been ages since she had had a good fling. Perhaps the redhead would be interested in entertaining her for a little while. While she wouldn't really consider herself a pervert - since she didn't walk around checking out girls and peeping on people in the bath like she'd seen a lot of men do, the imbeciles - she certainly could appreciate a good fuck from a hot chick if the opportunity arose, even if she was a little flat-chested.

"A marvelous wonder, eh?" Now, that was laying it on a little thick. She didn't even for a second consider that she was serious - who would think that of a teenager with multicolored hair, piercings, a couple of tattoos (that her parents still didn't know about), and an attitude problem (although the stranger surely wasn't aware of that yet)? Really, she was the female equivalent of that boy your parents wouldn't let you hang out with, and certainly would never let you date.

"Trying to avoid getting a lecture about all of this." She gestured to her new piercings, shrugging. "Uchihas have sticks up their asses. They don't really appreciate clan members doing their own thing, you know?" Of course, she'd decided quite a while ago that she didn't give a fuck what they thought of her. That didn't mean she wanted to sit through a lecture on how she was a disgrace to everything the good name Uchiha stood for.

Kurotaki nodded his head, "Ah yes, of course. Parents can be fickle like that hunh? I personally wouldn't know too well." Sure he had shadowed many people in his life time, most without their permission, and he had seen parents scold, love, and protect their children, but he had never had the chance to experience it himself. He never experienced the loving embrace of a mother, or the stern conversations from a father. None of it, because both died while he was in infancy or before he was born. "I've shadowed many people y'know, but... heh, I'm an orphan sadly." He looked up towards the sky his classic smile once again never fading from his face. Something most people never understood about Kurotaki was how he was happy almost all the time. He never had the nurture of a mother or father. Didn't have any siblings. Plus most of his peers didn't like him for something as simple as his appearance, so why was it he was happy all the time? The answer was simple really. Nothing ever got solved by sitting in a corner and crying. "But, that's how life is sometimes. Hehe, you just have to deal with it. Tell those you don't like to 'Fuck off' if you want, but I prefer to act kind, to perplex them. It's so much more fun." He snickered at the thought of the looks on the faces of the kids that had beaten him up on more than one occasion when he simply smiled back at them despite the pain. They had been so dumbfounded it was simply hysterical. "So then, darling, might I ask what your name is? I personally, go by the name Uzumaki Kurotaki, most of the time." He kicked one of his legs up into the air as he looked back down from the sky to her again. She was definitely an odd one. One that captured his interest. He wanted to know more about her, and perhaps, see what her reaction might be to figuring out his true identity and sexuality. Perhaps she might take to him even more, or perhaps she might be disgusted and run away, who knew?

"It's actually not my parents. They're both pretty chill. Clan doesn't much like them 'cause they're not fucking genius Uchiha prodigies either. Heh. It's my brother.. and the rest of them. Assholes, all of them." She didn't offer the fact that the man she claimed as her father wasn't her actual father - mostly because she didn't know who the hell had fucked her mother and contributed to half of the mess that she was. It didn't matter much, anyway - she was pretty sure he didn't love her, because she was an ever-present reminder that her mother hadn't been faithful, but he at least pretended to care about her, and that was good enough. Really, her parents were the only decent Uchihas she'd ever met. They weren't arrogant assholes or anything, and though she suspected it was because they didn't have anything to be arrogant about (he was a failure as a shinobi and she'd never gotten past genin) it was still nice to know that it wasn't her alone that was different, a failure among a clan of the best. "Oh."

Kaede wasn't going to say sorry or anything; she imagined it wasn't much consolation, and she'd probably heard it from every person she'd ever talked to. Not even the biggest heap of sympathy was going to help, so really, it was just an empty gesture.

"I prefer to tell 'em to fuck off. If they're gonna be dicks, they don't deserve my kindness." she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "But I'm not all bad. I promise. There's a nice side somewhere in here, I'm just not sure where." Somewhere underneath the attitude and the rudeness and the authority problem and the foul behavior. Probably far, far underneath.

"Uchiha Kaede. Nice to meet you, Kuro-chan." Interesting name for a girl, but hey. She'd seen stranger. At least Kurotaki was a pretty cool name. And she rarely called anyone by their actual name anyway; everyone got a nickname.. it's just that some were less polite than others, ehe.

This girl was definitely interesting. She seemed to be insistent on getting to know the Uzumaki even if just a little. She was perhaps the first person that had shown him even the slightest bit of kindness plain flat out because she found him interesting. She wasn't kind because she was a doctor or a teacher. Hell not even his teachers were ever kind to him so really he found it perplexing. "Well if you say so Kaede-kun." A fitting addressing for her for the way she addressed him, however likely one he wouldn't be able to hold for long without cracking up. Honestly he had her pegged from the very beginning. She thought he was a chick not a dude. That was hysterical, really. He did act a lot like a chick, sure. He did look a lot like a chick, sure. He even fancied men more than he did women, but still to actually be mistaken for that which he was not. It was too hysterical. "Well that's unfortunate, but family, you can't choose, 'em, right? Hey my family hates me too, something about me being a bastard child in more way than one. Ah well. Hehe." With that he layed back against the roof of the building, this action causing the kosode top to straighten out a bit and lay a little more closely to his chest. "So, Kaede-kun, why exactly did you decide to sit on my lap, hm? Was it.... an incorrect assumption?" He snickered after he said those words, and even while he said them never once did his chipper tone leave his voice. In fact he seemed to have a more feminine yet somewhat deep tone than before.

She grinned at the redhead. It wasn't often that she found someone she was willing to be friendly to; most of the time she just preferred to shut people out and ignore them until they decided to leave her alone. But someone like Kuro - that not only was hot, but seemed to like her, and was friendly right off the bat despite Kaede invading her personal space - well, that was different. She'd contemplated being a little more.. forward in her interest, but god knows she didn't want to piss off the person that, hopefully, would soon become one of the only real friends she had.

"Heh, if only." What she wouldn't give to be part of any other clan, or to have no clan at all - just a regular family with two parents and a couple kids that could all actually stand to be around each other. Anything would be better than the Uchihas with their holier than thou attitude and boasting of tracing the lineage right back to the damn Rikudou Sennin himself and everything else they did that was shitty, which consisted of most things the Uchiha clan did.

She raised a brow. "Huh. I guess we've got a little more in common than I thought." Being the bastard child wasn't fun. Half the Uchihas she knew hated her just because her father wasn't of the clan, which she didn't understand. It wasn't like he was a Senju - their most hated enemies - or anything, so what was the big deal? She couldn't exactly take back being born. It wasn't her fault.

When Kuro spoke next, some of the color drained from Kaede's face. "Shit. You're not a chick, are you?" She swore under her breath. "Ehe... sorry." She didn't move off her - er, his - lap, however; he was quite the comfy seat.

He quickly sat up propping himself up promptly with his arms, "I wish I was born a woman. Ah being in the accursed form is so annoying." He moved a hand to hold it over his chest, "I can't chase after the ones a love because of who I am. I get denied at every corner. Ah~! Life is such a cruel maiden." For once that normally cheery smile faded from his face to be replaced by a frown that bared his serrated teeth. "I can tell you're not interested in me knowing what I am." He sighed, "No one ever is, not even that Uchiha boy." He shook his head before looking away. "You see I'm more of a woman at heart than anything else. I like to collect toys, I like to let people confide in me, I want to have someone to snuggle. Heh, a bit pathetic for a male isn't it?" He looked away from her, "Sorry Kaede-kun, but I'm not what you're looking for." With that he moved her off of his lap and stood up. The wind, as if on cue, proceeded to rush past the two of them commanding his tresses to once again dance with it and forcing him to hold his bangs parted so he could see into the distance. "Besides, even if I was my line of work would keep us apart. You see... right now is one of my rare moments away from the job. I wanted to enjoy it. To have a little fun," he took a few steps across the roof top almost as if he were dancing, "I can't help it. In the eyes on many I am still a kid after all, hehe. Love. Romance. Partnership. All of that, I suppose, can wait." nee itsuka wa  His voice sang out again as he spun around once more before stopping at the edge of another side of the roof. "Y'know, if I were ever to find someone just right for me..." He held up his arms bringing his hands to the opposite sides of his hips. anata ni dakarete  His smile came back to his face as he held his head up towards the sky before chuckling quietly. Kaede blushed when he broke out in laughter, sheepish. Perhaps she had been a little quick to assume; perhaps it had been because she wished to find someone like Kurotaki that she could truly feel comfortable around. Not that she wasn't comfortable around him just because he was a guy - it's just that that wasn't quite what she was looking for in a partner. She'd dated a guy once, yeah; but it hadn't ended well because she had kind of snapped on him. And there just.. hadn't been any connection really. She'd liked his personality well enough, but not his kisses or the way he held her or how he'd acted when she was going to let him take her virginity. It just.. wasn't what she was into. "Are you gay, too?"

She frowned at him, ruffling his hair. "Hey now. Just 'cause I'm not into guys doesn't mean I don't want to be your friend. What kind of shitty person would I be if I acted like that?" And then she grinned again. "Doesn't mean we can't snuggle. It's not like you're repulsive just because you've got a dick."

She watched him move, sitting cross-legged on the roof of the building. "What good is life if you can't enjoy it?" Although she supposed that he was right - people their age (as she was once again assuming - this time that he was around her age, or perhaps a few years older) didn't really need to be too concerned with finding love and whatever. They had their whole lives to do that.. But the life of a shinobi could be cut short at any moment, and Kaede didn't want to waste any of the time she had. "Heh, I'm all for all things forbidden, even love."

Kurotaki stopped mid song as she posed her question about his sexuality. After several long moments he laughed at it, before bowing slightly with an arm swept across his chest, "More or less. I am a woman through and through in all aspects except the most obvious." He then ran the short distance between the two of them before dropping to his knees and sliding to a halt just in front of her. "That's right. Life is boring if you don't know how to have fun. That's why I try not to let myself get mad or sad. It does no good in the long run." He reached out towards her after several long moments. In all honesty he had no clue as to what he was doing now. He reached out to place his forefinger and thumb on her chin now leaning forward across her lap as he did so and holding himself up with a palm on the roof next to her thigh. "Tell me Kaede-kun," he spoke in a low hushed voice. "If it ever came down to it." He pulled himself close to her ear, "Would you prefer to be the tom cat or the pussy?" Once he asked his question he pulled away from her, sitting on top of his feet like a proper gentleman at a dining table or something of the like. Only he cocked his head to the side slightly and looked at her with the sort of innocent puppy dog stare that would make just about anyone melt right away. "You don't have to answer if you don't want, but I just got this crazy thought in mind. If I am a woman at heart, what are you?"

He was so happy and energetic, and to be honest, it was kind of infectious. Kaede found herself enjoying his company more than she'd thought she would. "Believe me, I know how you feel. Sometimes I feel like I'm more of a guy than a girl." She didn't like any of that girly shit, and she wasn't one of those girls that, well, acted like a girl. She never had. And to be honest she felt a little more comfortable thinking of herself as a male... It was something she'd thought about a lot, seriously, but had never actually taken into consideration. Perhaps it was due to fear of rejection - not from her family, but from her friends. Perhaps she really just wasn't sure.

Man, this had turned into a lot more heavy thinking than she'd anticipated.

"The tom cat." she answered without any hesitation, grinning at him. Again she was tempted to get a little forward, but he pulled away before she had the chance. His innocent stare was certainly enough to melt her heart a little; hell, no matter what gender he was, he was hot as hell. She didn't find him any less attractive than she had when she'd thought he was a girl... and to be honest, that initial spark she'd felt (imagined?) was still there. She'd certainly be willing to give him a try, if that's where this was heading.

Kurotaki chuckled, "Yay! Tom Cat!" Kurotaki clapped his hands together before standing up and holding his hand out for her to take, "Well then we're certainly more a like than I would have imagined Kaede-kun." If she decided to take his hand and allow him help her up to her feet or not was her choice. Whether or not she did it, the next thing the Uzumaki boy did was walk over to the edge of the tall towering building, "I know of a nice little cafe around the corner. Want to go there with me?" He left the question open as afterwards he dropped off of the building. He performed his landing in three segments. First he landed on a lower down building, before leaping onto a lamp post, and then at last landing bare footed onto the street path below. Kurotaki was certainly more than happy that Kaede had happened upon him on this particular day. She was an interesting sort of individual that seemed to take after his own heart. He almost felt as though she might just end up being the one for him, but alas he would be jumping the gun waaaaay too soon if he were to actually allow himself to think like that. After all, if it didn't work out then certainly he would end up with his heart being crushed under her foot. Something that he definitely wouldn't be able to live with and might as well as kill himself over if it ever happened. "I wonder Kaede-kun," he whispered low to himself, "Just where will you take me?"

Kaede took his hand and pulled herself up. But she didn't let go; she pulled him closer, and, grinning, planted a kiss on his lips. She was nothing if not bold... Hopefully, it wouldn't scare him off. And she didn't want to give him any false hopes either. Sure, they seemed to get along just fine, but that didn't mean it would work out. They could spend all the time in the world together and it wouldn't make a difference if there wasn't some sort of spark between them. She was hopeful, of course - hell, anyone with a heart wanted to find the person they belonged with. And who better to pair with a misfit than another misfit? Really, they went together perfectly.. t least, it appeared to be that way.

Perhaps she shouldn't be worried about him getting false hopes. She was surely generating enough of them herself.

"Of course I do, Kuro-chan." She squeezed his hand and grinned, following him down to the ground. "Do they have good food? 'Cause I could really go for some food right now." Her stomach interjected with a loud growl, and she chuckled. "A lot of food, actually."

She put an arm around his waist and pulled him close. Maybe she was being a little too friendly right off the bat - seeing as, really, they hardly knew anything about each other other than sexuality - but hell. You had to have fun while you could, and that most certainly included getting a little too friendly with her lovely redheaded friend.

Well he had figured her for the bold type but never in his wildest dreams did he think she would try anything, at least not yet. So he was thoroughly surprised when she planted that kiss right on his lips after he helped her up. When she did that, however, his body acted as if on instinct. He had wrapped an arm around her and deepened the kiss slightly. When they did at last pull away he smiled to her before leading her down to the path below. "Of course they have food, what kind of cafe doesn't have food?" He laughed as he led her by her hand towards the cozy little cafe just around the street corner. He likely would have never admitted it to her, but he was definitely more than a little happy when she agreed to come with him. His heart was definitely pounding from the event that had transpired not even five minutes prior and he felt like he already didn't want to part from her despite her bold tendencies and apparent from their conversation, habit of being a bit, if not a lot, rude. As they walked, she would likely be able to feel his hand tighten slightly around her's and perhaps even quiver a little bit as if he was filled with anticipation. It would take a couple of minutes, but they would at last be at the cozy little cafe. Since the weather was nice, the door was wide open with little curtains hanging in the door way to keep too much sun from getting in. Kurotaki parted the curtain and swept his arm before him allowing Kaede to enter the little shop first before he would follow. On the inside it was apparent that the shop was small, and likely family owned. There were only five small tables, likely meant for singles or couples, but not groups bigger than three. There was a counter along the forward wall with a glass display shelf with all sorts of treats and goodies stocked on it. Standing behind said counter was a rather plump and robust woman with curly dark hair hidden behind a bright blue bandanna. Her large round eyes gazed over to them and her pleasant laugh rang out into the room. "Ah! Ku-ku, good to see you again," as she had taken to calling the teenager, making it apparent that he was likely a regular at the shop. One of the other regular's snickered when she heard the nickname but the redhead ignored her instead looking to the robust woman, "Ah good evening mother, is there anything savory today, and perhaps something sweet for my friend here." It was obvious the woman wasn't actually Kurotaki's mother, however that was what she was referred to as by her customers. The shop boasted about it's home-style cooking and to make it even more apparent, the shop keeper always insisted that her regulars call her mom, or mother. It was an odd relationship, but one that was rather pleasant and warming too.
